The long waited UK WWE television show was filmed this past weekend. Aside from the strange decision to use garden chairs to fill the arena, the show was said to be a rousing success.
One of the interesting things to note though, is that the show doesn’t feature just UK wrestlers. In fact, a number of stars from WWE’s 205 live brand was also on hand, weirdly enough though the Cruiserweight Champion wasn’t in sight. Could this just be a way to cross promote the show to get more eyes on the new product? Probably, but considering that a number of the UK stars signed to WWE could also qualify for the Cruiserweight title, who’s to say that we won’t see some of these guys on 205 Live?
It’s also awesome to note that Jim Ross recently reported on his blog that him and NXT’s Nigel McGuinness will be calling the action.
