Potential Matches for Extreme Rules PPV

The build to WWE Extreme Rules so far has seen Rusev challenge John Cena for the United States championship, Randy Orton earn a shot at Seth Rollins’ WWE World Heavyweight championship, and Bad News Barrett have his rematch against Daniel Bryan for the Intercontinental championship.

However, new matches could potentially be made over the coming weeks, for the April 26th Pay-Per-View. Seeing that Bryan and Barrett have their match set, the returning Sheamus would most likely be facing new target Dolph Ziggler in a match.

Furthermore, the renewed rivalry between Big Show and Roman Reigns could result in a match, or the team of Big Show and Kane might face the team of Reigns and Ryback.

Meanwhile, the Divas championship is expected to be contested between current champion Nikki Bella and Naomi. A number one contender’s battle royal shall take place on the next edition of Raw, emanating from London, England on April 13th.

In regards to stipulations, it is expected that the United States or WWE World Heavyweight championship matches could receive one.

Author’s Note: I, for one, am enjoying the build to this PPV – we already have the title matches set, despite a majority of them being rematches from WrestleMania, and some new angles that have the potential of entertaining everybody.

Although, unless you’re a fan of Roman Reigns vs Big Show: Round 9, that rivalry should not be happening right now.
