Stone Cold Upset With John Cena?

As you’ve probably noticed, WWE United States Champion John Cena has added a springboard stunner to his arsenal of moves as of late.

But this doesn’t seem to sit well with WWE Hall Of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin

On Austin’s latest podcast, he was joined with film makers Mark and Chris Bell, the men behind the documentary “Bigger, Stronger, Faster”. During their discussion, Cena’s newest move was brought and Austin seemed a bit annoyed with the US Champion using it.

Austin stated that the Stunner should mean something, and that the new springboard element Cena has brought to it could be dangerous. The men also referred to it as “gimmick infringement” on more than one occasion.

(Editor’s Note: Austin was always my favourite character, so it hurts me a bit to be so critical of him. But I do think he just needs to get over it. The Stunner was a signature move of yours, and not of anybody elses, so should it mean something. Yes it should, but shouldn’t all moves in a match mean something? The Rock made an elbow drop one of the most exciting moves to witness for example. Cena has taken a famous move and adapted it for himself, much like how Fandango does the leg drop from the top rope, but Hulk Hogan doesn’t seem to have an issue with that…)
