Ronda Rousey Signs With WWE!
UFC’s current Women’s Bantamweight Champion, Ronda Rousey, has reportedly jumped ship to the WWE!
Rousey, a self confessed wrestling fan, was in attendance at WrestleMania 31 this past Sunday. Her enjoyment of the product wasn’t a surprise, but what was a surprise was when The Rock invited her into the ring for a confrontation with the Authority.
What has recently just become apparent though was that this was Ronda’s WWE debut!
According to insiders, it seems that Ronda has signed a deal similar to Brock Lesnar, so she will only be a part timer. The unique thing however is that Ronda’s contract states that she will be given opportunities to compete for male championships and wrestle male characters. She wouldn’t be the first woman to win a male championship, but with the star power she now has, it could be very real that we see our first ever female WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
In terms of her Bantamweight championship, it hasn’t been decided if Ronda will hand it back over and vacate the title or if she plans to debut it on WWE in some form of UFC invasion style angle.
