Potential Rumor of WWE Diva Returning to Host Show
It’s already official: the WWE Diva Search is returning for 2015. Other than that it’s expected to premier in the Fall, we know little else about the returning “reality” show.
However, it’s possible that a former WWE Diva Search contestant could return to host the show, on it’s new home of the WWE Network. Layla, Rosa Mendes, Maryse, Michelle McCool, The Bella Twins and Eve Torres, who is expecting a baby, are the only former contestants that are still affiliated with WWE.
Former WWE Divas that originated in the Divas Search include Candice Michelle, Ashley Massaro, Christy Hemme, Maria Kanellis and Taryn Terrell.
Author’s Note: Seeing how the Search has produced notable Divas in the past, I am curious to see what becomes of the women who take part in the up-and-coming series. Whilst the concept has garnered some controversy and rejection from the fans, it’s hard to tell what angle they’d be going for this time around.
Personally, I see the concept to be redundant. Several women are hired through NXT already, which potentially have more promise than a model from a casting call, and we have proven cases of stars already being made in the form of Blue Pants. We’ll have to see how it all goes.
