Curb Stomp Edited Out

Despite previous reports that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollin’s old finishing move, The Curb Stomp, had not been banned by WWE, it’s interesting to note that in a recent broadcasting of WWE 24, which showcased Roman Reigns heading into the main event of WrestleMania 31, the move was edited out of the show completely.

Towards the end of the program, the final moments of the match between Reigns, Rollins and former champion Brock Lesnar, see’s Rollins set up for the Curb Stomp. However just as he goes to execute the move, the camera cuts to a crowd shot briefly. It the goes back to the ring as Rollins scores the pin.

Again, WWE has stated the move hasn’t been banned and they were looking to try and make the Curb Stomp more of a special novelty move that Rollins would hit opponents with on rare occasions. Saying that, it’s no secret that WWE is obviously as PG company, and this may be done to cover their backs. Back when Saturday Morning Slam was a show, the wrestlers were told the could not perform any move that focused on their opponents head, so it’s not entirely out of the realm of plausibility that the Curb Stomp has been done away with permanently…
