Honest Fantastic Four (2005) Review

Welcome our Comics to the fold, as they discuss an earlier example of a comic-book film, with the first Fantastic Four film! Starring such recognisable faces as Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Captain America, and that guy from The Shield TV series, there’s plenty to discuss here.

Liam, Sam and Carmine run down the film’s good parts, criticise the shortcomings it experiences, and how it served as a precursor to the boom in comic-book media. Also discussed are the future installments to the franchise, including The Rise of the Silver Surfer, and the poorly-received Fant4stic (Fantastic Four from 2015) films… is this film truly a diamond in the rough, or is it another dull rock on the mountain of failed franchises?
