Notable Segments:
It’s Memorial Day, and we’re in the last WWE show to ever air from Nassau Coliseum. The cast of Entourage are featured on this episode, getting Zack Ryder some screen time for the first time in 3 years, and John Cena continues his vendettas against NXT alumnus. Rusev goes back to Bulgaria, and Dean Ambrose has a run-in with the law. All of this, and more, on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw.

A ten bell salute kicks off the show, before we kick off the show. The Authority, as a complete package, come out and begin discussing how Ambrose is crazy, and Rollins is… well, Rollins. Speak of the devil, and he will cut a promo; Ambrose comes out and rebukes their statements. He starts Justin Bieber chants at Rollins, because this is apparently a thing now. WWE likes to keep up with popular culture… 2 years behind everybody else.

At this point, it’s revealed that Ambrose must sign a contract for the match at Elimination Chamber to become official… sure, why not. Let’s just pretend that this is a thing that needs to happen. You can tell this will be a problem for our lunatic hero this episode.

But a challenger arrives on the scene… Roman Reigns! Why? We don’t know, and neither does The Authority. This brings us to the first match of the night, wherein Ambrose picks up the win with a backslide pin on Rollins. Not the outcome anyone expected, in the best possible way.

Backstage, Ambrose is talking with Renee Young about this contract signing that needs to happen. J&J Security come up and kettle him, with a cameraman getting caught in the crossfire. Attention is drawn to this, so we’ll hear about that again later.

Rusev is back to his Bulgarian roots, with a new attire and titantron to reflect this. You can tell he means business now, as he squashes R-Truth and yells angrily about his ex-girlfriend. We’ve all been there. He calls out Lana, and out she comes. Rusev asks her to come back to him, and she seemingly agrees to do so, based on their mutual hatred of America.

Except for the fact that Rusev wants Lana to admit that everything that’s happened since WrestleMania was her fault. She obviously doesn’t agree to do so, and leaves Rusev to complain in Bulgrussian. And to top it all off, the WWE’s resident heart-throb brought in from the 1980’s, Dolph Ziggler, comes out and kisses Lana.

Back to our main event scene, and Ambrose is arrested by two policemen, for assaulting a member of WWE staff. The Authority taunts him as he is loaded into the police van, and I start to not feel sorry for Ambrose as Stephanie McMahon keeps talking. In a later segment, the cast of Entourage banter with the Authority.

Before his match with Neville, Stardust gets in the face of the Green Arrow himself, Stephen Armell. Cue Liam Dunne creaming himself at home. After the match, Bo Dallas comes out and attacks Neville. I’m glad this rivalry is coming to the main roster, even if half of the character behind the original feud is out the window at this point.

Backstage, the Entourage guys and a couple of Divas talk to Zack Ryder. The guys leave the divas and go make plans with Ryder, regarding something. Oh, I wonder what it could be.

Cena talks about Kevin Owens for ten minutes before Zack Ryder answers the Open Challenge. Cena wins after a strong showing by Ryder, to be attacked by Kevin Owens afterwards. Owens has a new attire, it looks good. The Authority compliment Owens before Rollins brushes him off, bringing the attention back to himself.

Later, our tag team champions The New Day are in the ring. They act heelish until Kane comes out and puts them in a 10-on-3 Handicap Match. The match ends in DQ after the 10 men attack Woods. A brawl ensues to top off this segment, with Cesaro & Kidd standing tall.

The main event segment consists of The Authority dragging out the time to fill out the last hour, including the interruption from Roman Reigns and the almost comical beat-down of him, until it concludes with Dean Ambrose returning to the arena in a cop costume, driving the police van into the arena. Reigns and Ambrose stand tall to end the Raw, with the contract officially being signed in the process.
