WWE Royal Rumble Review (And Rollins’ Injury Talk)

Royal Rumble PPV Review, WrestleMania 33, Rollins/HHH on Hold?

Another week, another sad bit of news. As the Royal Rumble has come and gone, dividing many people on the road to WrestleMania, former WWE Champion Seth Rollins re-injured his ACL on Raw, during a segment with the debuting Samoa Joe.

Taking part in a scripted beat-down with the 2-time NXT Champion, Rollins was put into the Coquina Clutch, landing onto the mat incorrectly during the process, leading to a re-injury of his ACL, sustained in the fall of 2015. With his recovery time uncertain, could he miss WrestleMania for a second year?

The Royal Rumble event happened the day before, where we saw Randy Orton outlast 29 other men to win the match; opinions on the match appear divided – not about the winner, but about who came out at #30 – Roman Reigns. Sam and Andy argue over the reasons why, and what could have been done instead.

WrestleMania 33 is shaping up, with plenty of surprising twists and turns along the way, if we’re to believe the journalists. Various world title matches are already set, and the Elimination Chamber coming up on the horizon in a matter of weeks, could we be seeing something entirely different than what happened at WrestleMania 32 last year?

What are your thoughts on the Royal Rumble this year? Are you looking forward to WrestleMania? Comment below!
