WWE Extreme Rules 2017 Review (And Why We’re Surprised)

Samoa Joe New #1 Contender, Miz Wins Seventh Intercontinental Title

The one night of the year where WWE goes extreme… except for that one match. WWE Extreme Rules 2017 has come and gone, with new champions crowned, and a new #1 Contender for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship decided.

The Miz defeated Dean Ambrose to capture his seventh Intercontinental Championship, Sheamus and Cesaro defeated the Hardy Boyz to become two-time Raw Tag Team Champions, and Samoa Joe defeated four other men to earn the right to fight Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at the next PPV, WWE Great Balls of Fire.

Also on the show, Alexa Bliss defeated Bayley to retain the Raw Women’s Championship in a dud match, and Neville once again defeated Austin Aries to remain King of the Cruiserweights. Overall, Extreme Rules was a surprising show, but what did Sam and Andy think? Find out on this week’s episode of The Suplah…
